What is a rent installment?

A 12-month lease begins in September and ends in August. The lease is divided into 12 equal payments even though move in day is sometime in mid-September and move out day is sometime later in August. Lease dates may be 9/17-8/21, but the payments will always be equal even though there is a gap of time that you won't reside in the apartment . This is because we need to get the rooms ready for the following group of move ins in the new school year. If you renew, you will be staying without that gap of time.

When is my rent installment due?

Rent Installments are due on the 1st of every month, including September.

How do I pay?

There is a resident portal where you may pay for free with an ACH payment using your checking account, or you can pay with a debit or credit card for a small fee. You can also pay with a check, money order, or cashier's check.

If my roommate doesn't pay do I have to?

Capri offers individual lease contracts, so you don't have to be responsible for any of your roommates' payments. However Studios, ones and two-bedroom apartments are shared leases where all parties are held responsible.

What is an Individual Lease?

Accepted Answer

An individual lease is also called a "by the bedroom" lease. If you sign an individual lease, you are responsible for your own monthly rent and the regular upkeep of your part of the apartment. That includes your room, the bathroom, and the shared common area. (Does not apply to studio, 1 & 2 bedroom apartments.)

Do you accept pets?

You're more than welcome to bring your furry friend to your new home. We require a $300 pet deposit and $25/month pet rent. We're cat friendly, and we'd be happy to answer any questions about other pets. Feel free to reach out for more details!

Question 7

I don't have roommates. Do you roommate match?

Accepted Answer

No need to fret! We do provide roommate matching. When you complete our online application, you will also fill out a roommate preferences form. This assists us in finding you the best roommate(s).

Question 8

What is a guarantor? Do I need one?

Accepted Answer

A guarantor is a responsible party (which is a parent in most instances) that will guarantee the lease in the event you cannot pay. If you have a credit score of 650 or better and make at least 2.5 times the amount of your monthly installment, then you may not need a guarantor.

I don't want roommates. Are there any options for me?

Question 10

Do you have parking?

Accepted Answer

Capri offers parking at each of our buildings. Once you pay for a space, it is yours. If someone parks in your space, don't stress. Our office staff will deal with it for you.
